Welcome to the Buddy Taylor Middle School website. We are one of two middle schools in Flagler County serving 7th and 8th grade students. Our students transition to Flagler Palm Coast High School to finish their K-12 educational experience.
Things are going well at BTMS! As I’m sure you know, middle schools generate their own type of energy! To the credit of our staff and students, we’ve been able to focus that energy and excitement on academic progress and the constant improvement of our school culture. We want BTMS to be a place of learning but also be a welcoming environment for our students.
They say hard work makes time pass quickly. If that’s in fact a true state, this summer just flew by as we worked toward getting our newly renovated building ready for staff and students. This will be the first time, in a long time, we’ve opened our doors without portables on the campus. I think the students will be impressed with all the great changes and additions.
Principal Winnie Oden has been in the field of education for the last 28 years. She has worked in both the private and public sectors. Currently, she is in her fifth year as Principal of Buddy Taylor Middle School in Flagler County. Her first year as Principal, the school received an A rating from the State and has continued to receive "A" ratings. Ms. Oden has been at Buddy Taylor for the last 11 years serving in a variety of job functions--math and reading teacher, Dean of Discipline and Assistant Principal.
