Congratulations Class of 2010!

To all of our wonderful teachers and support staff,

Our community suffered a great loss on Feb. 27 when the conductor of our strings program, Jonathan May, passed away from a stroke. As artistic director of the Flagler Youth Orchestra, Jonathan instilled the idea of musical excellence and touched the lives of 250 students enrolled in the program this year — and many more who benefited from the program in the past five years. Jonathan also worked with hundreds of students in other orchestras across Central Florida.

Welcome to the year 2010!!!!!  It just seems like yesterday that we started the school year and now we are already halfway through the year on our continuing voyage of Educational Excellence.  This year will bring a great deal of excitement to the Flagler County Public Schools.  We will be moving into our brand new building at Buddy Taylor Middle School and we will be opening our first magnet school in the district, Phoenix Academy.   To promote our fifth Flagler Belief Statement, “We believe that parents are an integral part of student success.  By w

It is amazing how fast the time is moving this school year.  We are now in our third week of school and I want you all to know how much I appreciate the hard work of our staff, students and parents!  Our students are engaged in their lessons and I know we are going to continue to see great gains in their educational success.  As we celebrate Labor Day and pay tribute to the workers who have contributed strength, prosperity, and wellbeing to our country we would like to say a special thank you to all those workers on the many buildin

Welcome back to school! Remember, if you have questions at any time throughout the year about your child’s progress please feel free to call the school at any time.  We are all on the same team and it takes us all working together to help our students meet their educational goals.
