Assessment and Accountability

The Office of Assessment and Accountability is responsible for administering assessments to all students in the district. It is the responsibility of the office to maintain security in regard to the test materials and train school coordinators in testing administration.

In addition to administering tests the office synthesizes and reports longitudinal data and demographic data for the schools and the district.  The office of Accountability is responsible to report all data to the Florida Department of Education for the purpose of calculating school grades and Annual Yearly Progress (AYP). The Accountability office must verify that each student in the district that was eligible to be tested on FCAT was tested and must participate in the “corrections process” to certify that the membership class being used to determine school grades and AYP is accurate. The office of Accountability is further responsible to report all outcomes for school grades and AYP to school and district leadership and directly to the School Board.

Success Measures

We understand that as Florida's assessment program grows beyond the Florida Comprehensive Assessment Test ® (FCAT), Florida's parents and students need an up-to-date resource for all their assessment questions.  Click here to visit Success Measures at FLDOE.
