The Bureau serves over 41,500 Florida customers who cannot use regular print due to a visual,
physical, or reading disability. It is the largest library of its kind in the U.S. with a collection of
2.1 million items on audiocassette and in Braille and annual loans exceeding 1.36 million items.
The Bureau offers services such as offering magazine subscriptions with over 100 popular titles
available, loaning out equipment and mailing catalogs out with updated book listings bi-monthly.

The Center for the Visually Impaired serves visually impaired individual in Volusia, Flagler,
Putnam and Brevard counties. CVI's core services include independent living classes,
adjustment to blindness counseling, orientation/mobility, low vision services and

The Florida department of Education's Division of Vocational Rehabilitation is an employ-
ment program assisting individuals with disabilities, including Floridians with the most
severe disabilities, to pursue meaningful careers, commensurate with their abilities and
capabilities. Their services include counseling, job coaching, medical services, therapy
services, adaptive aids, vocational assessment and training, employment services,
supported employment, transition services, referral source and mental health services.

The Spina Bifida Association of Jacksonville (SBAJ) currently assists 1,500
members throughout the state of Florida. Members consist of children and
adults with spina bifida, their families, medical specialists and others
interested in the cause. Ongoing programs of SBAJ include monthly
support group character meetings, resource libraries, monthly newsletters,
social and enrichment functions, scholarships and financial assistance.
