Greetings,

It’s spring! With the return of the warm weather it is a great time to take a break from our work to relax and have some fun. When we return we will be ready to show what we know through our FCAT testing in grades 3-6. I am proud of our students and very confident they will do well because they have worked hard all year learning and using strategies to help them understand all that they study in reading, language arts, math, science, social studies, art, music, health and physical education.

Spring is also the time of year when we start planning for next year. Kindergarten registration will be taking place soon and I want to encourage you to register early. Look for information on the district webpage and in the newspaper. It’s never too late to help your child prepare for a positive kindergarten experience. Your child will have an easier time in school if he or she knows what to expect. You can help at home by making sure your child is used to listening and following routines and rules. Getting along with others is another important skill that you can work on before your child begins school in the fall. Preparing your little one for school can be a lot of fun. Young children learn best through play so enjoy spending time helping them learn their letters, numbers, colors and shapes.
