It is amazing how fast the time is moving this school year.  We are now in our third week of school and I want you all to know how much I appreciate the hard work of our staff, students and parents!  Our students are engaged in their lessons and I know we are going to continue to see great gains in their educational success.  As we celebrate Labor Day and pay tribute to the workers who have contributed strength, prosperity, and wellbeing to our country we would like to say a special thank you to all those workers on the many building projects that have been completed this summer for our school system.  The construction workers have completed additions to Rymfire Elementary School, Bunnell Elementary School, Wadsworth Elementary School and Old Kings Elementary School.  In addition, our construction teams are completing a remodel of Buddy Taylor Middle School.  We have a very short time frame to complete summer construction projects because we must have school ready the first day of school for our students.  Our construction teams have always stepped up to the plate and met all timelines and we all greatly appreciate them for their hard work and dedication to our staff, students and community.  The American Labor force is outstanding and we pay honor to you on your special day.

We have a busy schedule next week with parent meetings around the district.  Please attend the School Advisory Council (SAC) and Parent Teachers Organization (PTO) meetings at your child’s school.  It takes all of us working together as a team to help our students reach their educational goals.
