Graphic Organizers

What is a Graphic Organizer?

It is a visual way for students to organize information in all sorts of ways such as Comparison/Contrast, Sequence of Events, and Problem/Solution, just to name a few. Visually organizing information enables students to actually see relationships and patterns.

Using Graphic Organizers is another perfect way to reinforce the principles of WOW, Working on the Work:

* Organization of Content and Knowledge: What better way to organize information?

* Choice: Students will add each Graphic Organizer they use to their "learning kits" and be able to choose one that works best for them when confronting new information in other classes or on their own.

Use GOs as pre-writing tools! Use GOs as review tools! Use GOs as discussion tools! Use GOs as reading tools!
