Does your child need tutoring? Project Brainchild!

Does your child need tutoring?

Project BrainChild

Project BrainChild is offering one-on-one tutoring for children with special needs. A student receiving Exceptional Student Education Services (with an active Individual Education Plan – IEP) within the Flagler County Public School District is eligible to receive FREE afterschool 1-2-1 tutoring from a trained peer tutor. BrainChild is the unified inspiration of Flagler Palm Coast High School’s Community Problem Solving Program – a part of Future Problem Solving International, and the Flagler County Schools’ Exceptional Student Education Department. In addition to individual, free tutoring that is structured for the student’s specific disability, we also work hard to give these students moral support and help their self-esteem. The needs range from ADHD, to dyslexia, to Down’s syndrome. All members have been trained on how to help students with a specific need. We want these children to accomplish all they can, because even though they have a disability, that doesn’t mean they don’t have as much potential as any other child.

To enroll your child in this phenomenal program or to receive additional information about the project, contact Sue McVeigh, ESE Parent Specialist, Flagler County Public Schools: 386-586-2395, Ext. 2105; or email mcveighs@flaglerschools.com.
