Drop Out Prevention

General Info

Flagler County Schools mission is "Striving to be the Nation's Premier Learning Organization." Graduating from high school is one of the key indicators in career success and life-long financial stability. To complete this goal, we make every effort to guarantee that every student has an opportunity to walk across the stage with a Flagler County School diploma!

One of the key indicators of whether or not a student will be academically successful is ATTENDANCE.  Students who miss 10 or more unexcused days of school per year are more likely to make poor grades and ultimately drop out of high school.  Parents need to be sure their children are in school every day.  If students have a valid reason to be absent, the parents should notify the school.  If a student has a doctor or therapist appointment, or has a required court date, the absence is excused with proper documentation.
