The Parents' Guide provides information on the steps parents can take for effective, meaningful participation. Use the guide as a starting point for extended communication with teachers, school and district administrators, and most importantly, with your children. Each day, show your interest in their education. Review your children's schoolwork and look at what your children are learning. Talk to them about what they have learned that day. Talk to their teachers by phone, by email or face to face. Ask questions and stay involved.
Whether at home or in the classroom, adult involvement and encouragement have an enormously positive impact on a child's learning process. For your children, you are the vital link between the classroom and the world beyond. Education is a priority for children in Flagler County!
