2011 Youth Advocate Award Winners Recognized

The 17th Annual Prevent Child Abuse & Youth Advocate Awards Banquet was recently held at Bethume-Cookman University, sponsored by the Positive Parenting Committee.  The committee is dedicated to improving the lives of families, preventing child abuse and neglect, and promoting positive parenting in Volusia and Flagler counties; as well as all communities.  The Committee strives to improve lives one family at a time via networking, promotion of comprehensive parenting services, and through community awareness and education about the importance of positive parenting.

Each year the committee receives nominations for their annual award event. The following individuals were selected and presented awards in the category as listed: 
Cheryl Massaro, Professional
Michael Anderson, Volunteer         
Krista Busey, Anne Epstein
Sandra Hogue, Parent  
Rachel Arazashvili, Volusia Over-All     
John Winston, Flagler Over-All
