Community Asked to Take Part in Superintendent Search

Thursday, February 16, 2017 - 9:24am

The search for the next Superintendent of Flagler Schools has begun with a team from the Florida School Boards Association assisting the School Board in the process. The goal is to have a new Superintendent in place June 1st.

As part of the process, local citizens are encouraged to offer their input by taking part in an online survey which the School Board will use as part of the search. The survey allows the public to prioritize the desired characteristics and qualities for the new Superintendent. This survey can be found on the Flagler Schools website. It is open now and will close March 17th.

Additionally, the “Superintendent Search” section of the website will keep the public up to date on the search schedule. Links to meeting videos and documents related to them can also be found here.

During the week of April 16, finalists for the Superintendent position will come to Flagler County for personal interviews. On April 19 the District will host a community reception where local citizens will have a chance to meet and talk with the candidates face to face. More details about the reception will be shared with the community as the event draws closer.
