Friday, April 5, 2019 - 7:52am

Flagler Schools is aware of an arrest made overnight by the Flagler County Sheriff’s Office of one of our students. The threats this student is alleged to have made was not against a specific school but they were serious in nature. We thank the Sheriff’s Office for their quick work overnight. Additionally, we thank those of you who saw the original posting on social media and reported it.

We know in times like these, parents may be wary about sending their children to school. We want to assure you that we are working with the Sheriff’s Office to provide increased presence at our schools. Additionally, our on-campus security personnel, as well as our teachers and staff, remain vigilant on our campuses and in our classrooms.

Safety on our campuses is our main priority. We have no credible evidence that there continues to be  a threat on any of our campuses. Please remind your children that any threat, whether it’s meant as a joke or not, made on social media or in person will be taken seriously and handled accordingly by our school administration and local law enforcement.
