Hello! My name is Anna-Kaarina Adair and this is my fourth year teaching fourth grade at Belle Terre Elementary School. I am originally from upstate New York and I attended undergrad at Western New England College. At Western New England I received my B.A. in Elementary Education and Sociology while playing on the Varsity Lacrosse Team. After graduating from Western New England I received a scholarship to the University of Florida. While at UF I received my M.Ed. in Student Personnel in Higher Education while working in the Career Resource Center where I planned and organized multiple career fairs that took place on campus.
After completing my education I decided to continue living in Florida and was excited to receive an opportunity to work at Belle Terre Elementary School! Since arriving at Belle Terre I have become involved in the lacrosse community in this county. This will be my fourth year as the Varsity Head Coach of the Flagler Palm Coast H.S. Women's Lacrosse team! While coaching the Bulldogs I have met many wonderful members of the lacrosse coaching family throughout the state which has provided me with the opportunity to coach for the LaX ManiaX Elite Club program outside of the regular Bulldogs Spring season. In addtion to coaching these two teams I worked with a parent of my Bulldogs team to form the 6th, 7th, and 8th grade Lady Lizards youth lacrosse program. We had our first inaugural season this past spring and are always looking for new members! Hopefully one day we will expand the program to inclcude elementary girls! I think it is safe to say that if I am not in my classroom you can find me on a lacrosse field in Flagler County somewhere!
In addition to teaching and coaching I am a huge Florida Gator football and basketball fan. Throughout the fall season you can find me on any given Saturday at Ben Hill Griffin Stadium or in front of my television cheering on the Gators. When I am not cheering on the gators I love to travel and am often off for a weekend in New York visiting family, to the Keys for some deep sea fishing, or off to Tampa or Savannah for a short weekend getaway.
With summer vacation coming to an end I am anxious to start the new school year. I look forward to meeting all of my new and wonderful students and getting our year of fun and learning underway.
