 GUIDANCE HAPPENINGS:

 
·         Bullying prevention workshops will be implemented on October 13, 14 and 16  for all sixth grade students. The workshop will consist of strategies for dealing with bullies and creating a culture of respect for one another. 
     ·         The 2009 Florida Bright Futures Scholarships brochures were distributed to all the

·         The Duke talent identification program information has been distributed to those students who qualify. This program provides an opportunity for Middle School Students to experience the SAT or ACT early.  For more information, please visit http://www.tip.duke.edu/

 

·         Gifted Screening will be administered to eligible students throughout the month of September.  Parents will be notified of results by October 15th.    

 

·         Jack Kent Cooke Foundation applicants from last year will be notified in November about scholarship eligibility.
