21st Century Community Learning Centers
Free Academic Enrichment Summer Program for Flagler Schools

Dates: June 9th–July 27th, 2021
Hours: 8:00 a.m.–5:00 p.m.
Location: Rymfire Elementary School

The 21st Century Community Learning Center is a free summer academic enrichment program made possible by a Federal Grant from the U.S. Department of Education. This program supports the creation of community learning centers that provide academic enrichment opportunities during non-school hours.

The goal of the 21st Century Community Learning Center and Flagler Schools is to enrich the lives of students by providing learning progression assistance. The program helps students meet state and local student standards in core academic subjects, offers students a broad array of enrichment activities and project-based learning programs, as well as literacy and other educational services for the families of participating students.
    Free breakfast and lunch
    Free off-site field trips and guest speakers
Qualifications
  • Students in Tier 2 or Tier 3
  • Student that have an IEP, PMP, or AIP plan
  • Students receiving ESOL/ELL services
  • Students in jeopardy of being retained
  • Students not meeting annual, measurable achievement objectives
  • Students who are incoming 1st graders–incoming 6th graders for the 2021–2022 school year
  • Students may be enrolled in the Flagler Schools Academic summer program—Math/Reading (on-site), and be dual enrolled in Summer 21st CCLC (M–F)
  • Students currently enrolled for the 2020–2021 school year at Bunnell, Rymfire or Wadsworth Elementary School
  • Students enrolled in the mandatory summer reading/summer acceleration programs
  • Private School and Flagler Public School students accepted as qualified student registrations are received
  • No out-of-county or out-of-state students accepted

Attendance

  • Students must attend daily
  • Students must be in attendance for the entire day
  • No daily drop-ins
