Return to School

Cathy Mittelstadt August 7, 2020 Update

As many of you are aware, the start date for the 2020-2021 school year was pushed back to August 24th. On Tuesday, August 4th, our School Board approved a few small changes to the instructional calendar. It moves two of the teacher planning days back into the calendar later in the year.

This also means the last day of school for students was shifted two days. That last day for students will now be June 3rd, and the last day for teachers will be June 4th. I encourage everyone to take a close look at all the changes in the calendar, which can be found here.

I also want to share a new Return to School Guide. It provides more detailed information and should answer many of your questions. A link is posted below. Please take a look through it, as well as the “Frequently Asked Questions” sections on this page.

If you have any questions about District operations as we prepare for our Return to School, the video from the July 21st workshop further explains our protocols. The link is available in this section as well.

We are excited about the start of the school year and truly appreciate your patience and support.
