In September the School Board had a full slate of Spotlights! They began the evening marking September as Childhood Cancer Awareness Month. Childhood Cancer Awareness Month is an annual international awareness month to raise support, funding and awareness of childhood cancers and the impact for sufferers and families of sufferers of childhood cancer. During the month of September, the "Live Like Cameron Virtual Flagler Warrior 25 Mile Challenge will take place to honor our 25 children in Flagler County who are battling and those who have lost their battle to childhood cancer.

Next, the School Board honored Jerry Copeland, the district's longtime lead negotiator upon his retirement.

The School Board welcomed the newest student board members, who will serve throughout the school year. They are Flagler-Palm Coast High School senior Kyleigh Ruddy and Matanzas High School senior Brianna Whitfield. Congratulations!

The AdventHealth Breast Cancer run has a new name, "Pink on Parade 5k". As a result, there is greater exposure and statewide impact.
This year's "virtual" run (race at your own place) is October 11th.
The website address (and registration) is pinkonparade.com.
The local goal remains the same: to engage our local community to support this cause.
All the money raised stays here and supports our local community members.
