Mr. Stewart Maxcy

Principal

WOW!  The FCAT results are in and the Belle Terre Students did outstanding!  All the scores were on or above the state and the district averages.  Belle Terre's student scores were the best in the district for 5th grade Science and 5th grade Math; 4th grade Reading and Math; and 3rd grade Reading.  Our 5th grade Reading, 4th grade Math and 3rd grade Math scores were the 2nd best in the district.  So overall, we are very proud of our students.  Congratulations to everyone who had a part!  Parents, teachers and students!

We will also have some new teachers joining us for next year.  Some of our teachers have retired and some have moved to help students in other places.  We are also adding two more classes for students with special needs.

As the work continues to four lane Belle Terre Parkway, we do expect some traffic congestion and some probable delays in our car rider system.  However, we have worked with the road crew and they assure us the entryways will be open during school hours.  There will be no parking along the road way, so we have 4 ways to leave campus:  BUSES, CAR-RIDERS, WALKERS AND BICYCLE RIDERS. This means no parents should be on the campus to pick up students unless they are sitting IN a car.

Mrs. Robin Dupont, Assistant Principal

Grades 1,2 and 3

Welcome back to another exciting year at Belle Terre Elementary.  I am the Assistant Principal for Pre-K, Kindergarten, Fourth and Fifth Grade students.

We have an exciting year planned for our Bobcats, and Will continue to raise student achievement every day, every way.

As the year progresses, we encourage you to review the student handbook with your child, to ensure that they are successful.

Please watch for maessages that will be displayed soon on our new electronic marque.

We encourage you to contact your childs' teacher with any questions that you might have throughout the course of the school year.

Together, with your help, we will mold each child to be a life long learner.

Welcome to a new year at Belle Terre Elementary.  We have a lot to be proud of.  First we have earned the grade of A once again and for that we have our entire school population including the faculty, staff, students and parents to thank.  It truly takes the efforts of everyone pulling in the same direction to get such wonderful results.  The fact that the entire school district of Flagler County earned an A is extremely rare and monumental in the world of school grades and accountability. So my congratulations to all of us!

Apart from a few changes, we have a well trained team of teachers returning for another exciting year.  Last year we were the pilot site for an electronic report card.  I am happy to report, we are moving forward with that concept.  This year parents will be able to monitor their children's grades closely via the internet and contact the teacher whenever there are questions or concerns.  Since our mission is to "Raise Student Achievement Every Day, Every Way", providing up-to-date information to our parents is vitally important to our goal.

Reading is cornerstone to creating successful learners.  We now know that the students of today will have more than 45 careers in their life time.  This everchanging society will rely on people being flexible and able to learn new things quickly.  To that end, we have purchased a new reading series.  The textbooks and teacher support materials are outstanding.  There are materials to help all kinds of students learn. I know the kids are going to really like them as well.

This year we have become the cluster site for students with autism.  Adding a few more classes on our campus allows the students the benefit of more time with the professionals that offer specialized services, once again our focus is on learning gains for all students.
