Voluntary Pre-K

VPK is following the safety guidelines set out by the District regarding K–12 education.

Will your child be 4 by September 1st? If YES, your child is eligible for FREE VPK. For the current school year, VPK is available at all elementary schools in Flagler County. Students will attend their home-zoned school, can participate in our free breakfast/free or reduced lunch program and enjoy the benefit of participating in a VPK program that will fully prepare them for Kindergarten.

School-Year VPK
School-Year VPK is Monday-Friday, 3 free hours per day with daily schedules to follow each elementary bell times. Additional instructional hours (wrap around) will be available for $70.00 per week. Before school times will coincide with each elementary school extended day program. After school times are until 5:30 p.m. VPK students will follow the Flagler County School Board uniform policy.

Summer VPK
2022 Summer VPK will be available. Please check our website for updates.

Transportation for VPK is the parent's responsibility.

You must register online for all VPK programs. You must have a current COE (see below) and a completed registration packet to be placed in the program. Registration does not guarantee a spot in the program, as registration is on a first-come first-serve basis. Only correct, completed packets will be accepted by registrars.

2021–2022 School Year
Please call your home zone school first, to see if there are openings before registering.

2022 Summer VPK Program
You will need a 2022 Summer COE from the Early Learning Coalition and a completed registration. Registration for the summer will open in March, so please continue to check our website. Summer VPK will be held at Bunnell Elementary School.

School Choice
School choice is limited. Only students with siblings currently attending the elementary school, will be granted school choice or parents who are employees at the elementary school will be considered. School choice for VPK is only good for one year. Parents will need to reapply for school choice in Kindergarten.
