Volunteering

We’re excited to welcome volunteers and visitors to Flagler Schools! Whether you're helping in a classroom, chaperoning a field trip, or attending a school event, your presence makes a positive impact.

How to Become a Volunteer

Our Volunteer Program offers opportunities to support our students, staff, and schools. We use the Raptor Visitor Management System to manage volunteer applications and help keep students safe. To get started, simply complete and submit a Volunteer Application through the Raptor System.

There are three levels of school access and volunteer participation:

  • Tier A – Visitors: Individuals making one-time or occasional visits to a school. No volunteer application or background screening is required.

  • Tier B – Basic Volunteers: Individuals who assist students and school personnel with on-campus activities, events, or field trips within Flagler County. Volunteers must submit an application through Raptor and pass an annual enhanced screening. The $19 screening fee is due when the application is submitted.

  • Tier C – Premium Volunteers: Individuals who assist students and school personnel with events and field trips outside Flagler County, or overnight trips. Volunteers must submit an application and complete a Level 2 background screening. The $77 screening fee is due when you schedule your fingerprint appointment. The screening is valid for up to five years.

Enter your full name and date of birth exactly as shown on your government-issued ID. Mismatched information may require a new application and an additional screening fee.

A valid email address is required to receive status updates and future communications. Applications with an invalid email address will be denied.

After you submit your application, our Human Resources Department will review it. You will receive an email with the next steps for your volunteer tier, including fingerprint scheduling instructions if applicable.

Information collected during the application process is confidential and used solely for Volunteer Program purposes.

Resiliency Coach Training

Our goal is to build a stronger support system for students as they navigate personal and academic challenges.
